Overview Anand Gujarat

Anand is an administrative district of the Gujarat State and is also known as ‘Charotar’. Anand is surrounded by Kheda District to the north, Ahmedabad District to the west, Vadodara District to the east and the Gulf of Cambay to the south. The major towns are Anand, Sojitra, Tarapur, Petlad and Khambhat.

Anand is also known as the Milk Capital of India, due to its famous Amul Dairy and its Milk revolution. Tobacco and Banana are the major crops of the city. Economy of the city is quite vibrant i.e. ranging from farming to big scale industries.
